Once a upon a time....

Two mothers sat a recreational league basketball game and watched their sons enjoy talking on the bench more than actually being in the game. Little did the mothers know that their lives were about to be changed forever.  Those little boys grew into best friends that did everything together including joining the marching band.  The mothers got involved with creating the backdrops for the marching band, and realized that they were both shared a love for Art.  They started talking about their dreams to create their own art school.

About Robin

Robin Moore has been an Art educator for over twenty five years.  She has been a regional teacher of the year, and featured in local news articles and even international news media.  Art has been her passion since she could pick up a crayon.  She won awards throughout her school age years in local and regional contests.  She is a proud native to Southern New Jersey.  Her undergraduate degree is in Art Education from Kutztown University, and a masters in Instructional technology from Stockton University.  She has worked with students of all ages preschool through adult in a variety of art media that include clay, fiber arts, colored pencil, resin, pencil, charcoal, watercolor, oil, digital, mixed media, to name a few.  She has created landscapes, nature studies, portraits, vases, bowls, mugs, stage props, and murals.  She worked very hard to hone her skills, so she does appreciate that art can some times take perseverance and a change of perspective.   Because of this, she is a master of differentiated instruction.  She loves creating and teaching art, and often tells people that she has the best job in the school.  Who else gets to do what they love? She makes art all day and is inspired by other artists! Her goal as an instructor is to share this passion and all of the skills she has developed throughout her career.

About Renee

Renee Leopardi is a well known regional pastel painter and art teacher.  She has been featured in many of the tri-state art galleries in group and solo exhibitions.  She teaches at many of the regional community art schools and online.  She is a signature member of the Philadelphia Pastel society, an associate member of the Pastel Society of America, Ocean City Fine Arts League (among many others). Renee has won various awards for her variety of subjects in pastel painting around the region and national and international juried shows.  She has been in a variety of solo, dual and multiple artist exhibitions.  Renee feels that Art can be so much more than technical ability to draw or paint. Art and the act of creating something (good or bad / success or failure) feeds the soul. Even on the frustrating days where it’s just not working how she want it to, she is happier for having taken the time to create.  Renee frequently refer to lessons as “play”. When we were children, our job was to learn by playing. We didn’t think anything of it, we just played. We tried one thing, it didn’t work so we tried another way. For her, art is about the freedom to play. Create something that completely sucks – it’s never a waste of time. Learn, play and grow – you’ll feel better for it! Her goal as an instructor is to foster the student’s personal style and expression regardless of where they are in their journey – beginner or seasoned artist. She will share her techniques and experience with everyone through these lessons and is available for private mentorships for further assistance.
