A dream realized

You know I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one (you sang that line, if you are old enough to know where it came from- if not, google it). In fact, I have worked with many as students and colleagues throughout my entire life. It is one of the many aspects I love about being an artist and an art educator. Want to create a landscape that isn't impacted by gravity- completely possible (as seen in the AI created image that starts this Blog post). Want to surround yourself with beauty- so easy with Art. I have always wanted to start my own art school, but I didn't know how to make what seemed completely impossible become plausible or possible. I'm a huge believer in fate, destiny, faith, and a bigger picture (that I can't always see). I believe that most people are on a journey that will make the world a better place. That journey led me to meet Renee through our sons. We are both incredibly passionate about Art. We often chat how we think differently, see the world differently, approach problems differently- because we are artists. It's who we are. This was the start of a dream becoming a reality. We decided to take our dream of starting an art school together, and we often talk about it as we worked on marching band props and backdrops. As our sons went off to college together, we were ready to start to formulate making this happen. This is also the start of my exit plan from teaching. I still love what I do- I really do tell everyone that I have the best job. I don't plan to leave any time soon, but I wanted to have an established school before I get to retirement. What better way than to start online? I can share my love of art farther than the school community that I adore. I just wanted to take this moment to thank you for being part of my Artedventure journey- I look forward to sharing in your journey of art, inspiration, and making the world a more beautiful and better place.
